Christa Soulé Désir is an editor for Sourcebooks Publishing, whose previous freelance clients include St. Martin’s Press, Kensington Publishing, Macmillan Children’s Publishing, and various self-published indie authors. Prior to becoming a freelancer, Christa worked as an acquiring editor for Samhain Publishing from 2011-2016. She’s edited a variety of fiction books, including those from award-winning and NYT/USA Today bestselling authors. She’s also the author of several contemporary young adult novels published by Simon & Schuster. Recently, she developed a mentorship program for young BIPOC who are looking to learn about publishing and editing. In her free time, she knits, volunteers in rape victim advocacy, and in 2018 gave a TEDx Talk that educates parents about how to talk to their kids about sex.
